Since there has been a greater interest in field trips this year, we have decided to plan weekend trips again. I think Chris and I have some nice ones planned. You will be the judge. They are listed below.  As you can see, these are only up to July. More will follow....

Now for the small print- Wouldn’t it be nice if any one of us can go on all of these trips. I can’t!. If you know you are going to make any of these trips early, please let me know. This will help me coordinate everything and everyone.

Club Claim - clean up and dig

Saturday - plan is to clean up the claim and move the trail so we can access more of the claim. I’m not sure how long this will take. Probably a few hours if we have a good turn out. If you plan to stay overnight there are a few motels in the area.

Tamminen Quarry -  W. Paris, ME
Moat Mountain – N. Conway, NH  6/25-26

We will start out Saturday at Tamminen, then start towards N.Conway and stay overnight somewhere. Sunday we will go to Moat Mountain. Yes, I know it is the season and motel prices are at their highest. If I can get an early head count maybe we can get a group rate. Also there are many campgrounds for those of you who would like to camp. These two sites are about an hour and a half minutes apart. I have contacted a motel in Bridgton, ME and they offered a rate of $65.00 if we take 4 or more rooms. Everyone! Please let me know by May 25th !!!
