Q: What is it?
A: Our mail list will serve as a means to share information between other members.  Please note that you MUST be a member of the Worcester Mineral Club to use this service.

Q: What kind of things can I send or receive?
A: Club news and trip news.  If you have questions or answers.  Please try to keep subject matter relating to The Worcester Mineral Club, Rockhounding and related issues.

Q: How do I start?
A: Send an email to our webmaster telling us who you are and that you'd like join our mail list.

Q: How can I stop?
A: If you choose to stop, just send an email to the webmaster stating that you'd like to stop.

Q: How does it work?
A: It's really pretty simple.  After you are set up, if you'd like to send an email to the list, simply send the email to: WMC@worcestermineralclub.org  That email will automatically be emailed out to every subscriber on the list.  And as a subscriber you will receive all the emails from the group automatically.

Q: Who can see my email address after I sign up?
A: If you send an email out to the list, All subscribers see your email address.  (Please note that all our subscribers are only Worcester Mineral Club members)  If you only are receiving the emails from the list (and not sending out emails to the list), then no one sees your email address.  If privacy is an issue, some people prefer to get a free (disposable) email address for newsletters only.  These can be found on the web at many places such as hotmail.com, yahoo.com, and gmail.com

Q: I have several email addresses. Which do I use? 
A: Which ever one(s) you like.  More than one address is allowed if needed.

Q: How many emails can I expect? 
A: We don't know, as this is new

Q: How many subscribers are there?
A: About Ninety

Q: What about attachments? 
A: The mail list does allow us to send attachments.  This allows us to send pictures and other files.  We recommend using a virus scan protection program.  They are available free on the internet.  Your ISP may already provide it.

Q: Any etiquette rules?
A: Please remember to be respectful of others here.  Our list is un moderated and we hope we can keep it that way.


Q: Legalities?
A: By using this service, you acknowledge that you are using this service service strictly at your own risk, and will hold Worcester Mineral Club members, their families and anyone else involved blameless for any inaccurate information, damage to your computer, hacking, inclement weather on weekends, and well for anything from the use of this list.
